As most of you know, I write different types of software programs for a living. A majority of the work I do has been in the area of control systems software development. I have had the pleasure to work
with a great number of extremely
intelligent people that have helped me learn and develop the things I have. Currently, I am a full time employee with Xycast, LLC.
A2 Panel
The A2 Panel was the first project I was
completely responsible for from a project management and development
standpoint. I worked with many different machinists and engineers to
develop this flight like space shuttle camera control system. Some of
the biggest help I got was in the circuit board design and creation.
John Lusher, a good friend of mine helped me with all that. The
software that controls this unit was developed by me. |

SSRMS
The SSRMS (Space Station Remote Manipulator System) was developed by a
large number of gifted individuals. I was lucky enough to develop the user
interface and main software connection piece that controls this arm. This
system is one of many that I currently support at Raytheon.

SRMS
The SRMS (Shuttle Remote Manipulator System) was developed by John
Haas, Rusty Crawford, and David McMahon. Many other people added to the
creation of this work horse and I will list them at a later date. I have
made a bunch of major modifications to the control software that controls
this arm. |

Accutime © is owned and operated by: Rusty Crawford |
Accutime
Accutime is a drag race timing system in use at numerous drag strips across the United States. I was afforded the pleasure to design the GUI and external interfaces for this distributed system. |
SHUCS / RATS
This is a GM Fanuc robot that was
controlled by custom interface software designed by me and Nick Buckner.
The software drove the robot to simulate the movement of the international
space station for the purpose of forcing the satellite receiver /
transmitter to stay locked on any of 4 satellites in geo synchronous orbit
with earth. Satellite tool kit was used to build the proper trajectories
that the software used to drive the robotic arm. I also wrote the
motor control drivers that controlled the satellites TX/RX antenna
movement. This is the fastest robot I have ever controlled! |
